François Morellet (1926-2016) is a passionate lover of forms, especially the circles that fragment and vanish in his works. The piece he created at Vez is titled A Donjon, a Fragmentation and Some Reflections.

Commissioned from the artist in 1999 for the exhibition L’art surprend l’éclipse [Art Surprises the Eclipse], the work comprises two red neon strips forming an arc of a circle. It is on display in the ruined chimney of the vanished residential building.
