In 2022, the Donjon de Vez groups great names of contemporary architecture for its new exhibition : Kengo Kuma, Odile Decq, the Berchiche brothers, Edouard François … and more !
Alternating models and architects shacks, or “jewels” to quote partner Philippe Gravier, this exhibition brings a futuristic look to Vez with these unusual constructions.
The models and shacks presented are authentic “gestures”, at the frontier between art and architecture : the reduction in proportions allows for more creativity and freedom, and calls for a renewed concept of habitat. The style and personal imagination of each architect are deployed and echo contemporary ecological concerns regarding the rational use of materials, ressources and available living spaces.
Some fifteen creations are exposed, allowing the visitors to play with scales and dream of futuristic and utopians cities. It is also the chance to rediscover the shacks of Vez’s permanent exhibition, by Serge Mansau and Tadashi Kamawata !
